Northern Ireland: getting about

Ulsterbus runs the bus and coach services across Northern Ireland. Goldline is the name given to its express coach services. The Europa Buscentre and the Laganside Buscentre are the principal Belfast terminals for Ulsterbus services.

Cross-border services between Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic, principally between Belfast and Dublin, are run jointly by Ulsterbus and Bus Eireann, the Irish Republic?s state-owned bus company.

Northern Ireland Railways operates the train services, with the cross-border Belfast-Dublin Enterprise express train run jointly with Iarnrod Eireann, the Irish Republic?s state-owned rail company. Belfast Central Station (which is not in the least bit central ? though it is linked to the centre by shuttle buses) and Great Victoria Street Station (alongside Europa Buscentre), are the main railway terminals in the Northern Ireland capital.

+ Ulsterbus and Northern Ireland Railways enquiries are now exclusively on both Goldline Express Coach and Northern Ireland Railway booklet timetables carry useful route maps besides service times. They are free from the bus, train or tourist contacts we list. All these services are available at Translink
