Buxton

Gracious spa town on the eastern side of the Peak National Park whose location, at 1,000ft/304m, makes it one of the highest towns in England. Here you will find a town with a late-18th century Crescent equal to the architectural grandeur of Bath and its Devonshire Royal Hospital (1859) with a dome diameter - at 156ft/48m - one of the widest in the world.
