Clive Lewis
Editor
Putting twenty years of honing words and pictures for the The Guardian and The Times behind him, Clive Lewis turned his journalistic skills to producing his first magazine in 1985. Getting About Britain followed in 1988, commissioned by the British Tourist Authority to fill an information hole for overseas visitors to the UK. gettingaboutbritain.com is an online mirror-image of the magazine with, of course, aspects unrealisable by the paper page. "In an age crying out for transparency, this is one way to go to deliver a coherent passenger transport system," he says, "Let the pages speak for themselves."

Roy Calderwood
Contributing
Editor
Roy Calderwood brings professional as well as pastime interest in travel. Long associated with Getting About Britain when it appeared as a paper magazine, his working days are spent organising travel for business clients from an office overlooking Edinburgh Castle. Weekends it's ferry-hopping off Scotland’s west coast, riding the narrow gauge railways of North Wales or taking the bus through the Lake District. He has even found time to pen a book on the history of the airstrip at Barra in the Outer Hebrides, called 'Times subject to tides'.
